Innovation Teacher

Innovation Teacher conducts instruction directly related to STEM and computer science in our JK-5 Innovation Lab. This person will have a strong passion for progressive, 21st century teaching and learning and enthusiastic attitude for teaching.  Job responsibilities include planning all lessons in accordance with the school’s curriculum guidelines and maintaining that innovation curriculum, collaborating with teachers for project based lessons and encouraging tinkering beyond the classroom. This position will work on a media team with a specific emergent and tinkering focus.

Requirement:

·  Skill with using (and teaching the use of) power tools, electronics, computer software, and related technologies (including arduinos, 3D printer, shopbot, robotics, etc.)

·  Appreciation for working collaboratively, taking risks, managing a flexible schedule, and balancing short- and long-term projects.
