Director of Educational Technology

The Prout School is seeking a dynamic Director of Educational Technology beginning Academic Year 2015-2016. The Prout School is a Catholic co-educational high school founded in 1966 and operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence.  Among its many distinctions, Prout is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Rhode Island and is among only a handful of Catholic schools throughout the country with this distinction.
The Director of  Educational Technology will provide for the planning and implementation of technology to support teaching, learning, communication, and school management; will have working knowledge of  Apple and PC hardware and software, Edline, Gradequick, Administrator’s Plus and Internet Access software;  and will resolve day-to-day issues with desktops and peripherals. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript preferred. The Director will also teach computer science, web design and computer programming.  The ideal candidate possesses outstanding communication skills, enthusiasm about new technology, ability to work with users with a wide range of computer skills, and networking skills.  The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s in Multi-Media/Information Technology and/or Education Technology, or comparable education, and a minimum of five years’ experience.  Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript preferred.
