Technology Integration Specialist
The Technology Integration Specialist collaborates with teachers Pre K - 12 in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons, and supports the teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms.
The Technology Integration Specialist provides assistance and training in the integration of technology to support student achievement. This includes planning and implementing job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small groups, and large groups.
He/she collaborates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials and software, assisting with technology training as part of collaborative staff development opportunities.
The Technology Integration Specialist collaborates with School Administrators, Library Media Specialists, and technology staff members to ensure infrastructure and tools are available to carry out school and technology initiatives. He/she a member of the technology department, working closely with all members to support the entire instructional technology system, including providing a wide range of support with tech help and installation of technology.
He/she gathers and disseminates information (e.g., grants, policies, professional development opportunities) relevant to instructional technology, coordinates technology related after school and summer programs, community outreach projects, and professional development courses.
BA or BS required. Graduate Degree or other advanced education in Instructional and/or Assistive Technology preferred.
At least three years of successful full-time experience as a classroom teacher preferred.
Two years professional development experience educating teachers or other adults in the integration of technology for instruction and productivity using all of the following modes: modeling, one-on-one, small group, or large group preferred.
A minimum of two years experience delivering and integrating technology in instructional programs for Pre K – 12 students.
Experience work with and facilitating a STEAM program, STEM program, 3D Printing, and/or introductory programing course preferred.
