Middle School Academic Technology Coordinator

Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school located in Northwest Washington, D.C., seeks a full-time Middle School Academic Technology Coordinator.  The Academic Technology Coordinator is responsible for teaching technology classes to 5th and 6th graders and will serve as an expert in assisting faculty and staff with the integration of technology into the Middle School curriculum.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of technology use in schools, be comfortable collaborating with teachers, and able to train faculty and staff in technology competencies.  He/she will collaborate with colleagues in the Information Technology Services department and Middle School library to ensure that technology works in a seamless and integrated manner.  Duties also include researching software for faculty, keeping abreast of the newest issues in educational technology, working with students in co-curricular activities/clubs, and parent education regarding technology use.  Experience as a classroom teacher is required.
