Technology and Innovation Integrator serves as solutions expert and as consultant to the school’s leaders and teachers.  The TII will teach technology classes to elementary grade students as well as coach and collaborate with teachers in the implementation of instructional technology. The TII will lead and support the school’s work in establishing, promoting, and sustaining seamless use of 21st -century technology tools and information resources. The TII collaborates with teachers and instructional staff to enhance lesson plans, models the integration of technology in all curriculum areas, facilitates school participation in technology programs and activities.  He or she will work closely with the Technology Support Specialist and collaboratively select digital tools and resources based on professional best practices and relevant data.
 
Qualifications:

 

The candidate must demonstrate fluency with a wide range of digital resources that support inquiry and student-centered learning, professional best practices, and acquisition of 21st -century skills. The TII evaluates the school’s programs to ensure that they are up-to-date and relevant and that they meet the needs of the school community.

 

Candidates should hold degrees in education or educational technology and have at least two years of highly successful teaching experience.  They must have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be highly proficient in the implementation of instructional technology.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Work in an active, fast paced environment both indoors and outdoors
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs
  • Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking
  • Must be able to move quickly from one place to another to ensure safety
