Web Manager

Position Description:
The Web Manager will support and collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to manage web design and content consistently with strategic objectives:
Use the Finalsite content management system (CMS) to manage the website. Maintain the relationship with Finalsite and troubleshoot promptly to resolve problems.
Maintain optimal site performance, review website statistics, monitor usage and traffic levels, and use search engine optimization techniques to improve rankings.
Add functionality to the website to meet the requirements of the Academy.
Research emerging technologies and services that may enhance the website experience and plan future enhancements to the site.
Manage the internal intranet for employees as well as the employee online directory.
Establish a process and timeline for emailing Academy-wide communications via MailChimp.
The Web Manager will report to the Director of Communications.
Position Requirements:
An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
A minimum of two years of web management experience, particularly in working with content management systems. Familiarity with the education industry is preferred.
Knowledge of HTML coding, programming languages, operating systems and Internet applications.
Familiar with web design, graphics, and development tools.
A strong understanding of Google Analytics as well as search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
Highly organized and efficient, with demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Thorough and precise with all work.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing. Must be able to work with a diverse group of people and explain technical concepts in user-friendly terms.
Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask. Strong customer service mentality with a “can-do” approach.
The Web Manager position is an exempt, salaried, 12-month position. Some evening and weekend work will be required. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. EOE.
