EdTech and Media Educator
With the growth of technology in education at Penryn Prep we are looking to appoint an EdTech and Media teacher to partner in the effective roll-out of IPad and interactive technology in the Prep School (Grade R – 7), as well as to assist with the delivery of effective Media lessons, incorporating a traditional library experiences along with research and group work.
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Teach IT and facilitate the use of technology of all forms in the classrooms of the Prep.
Teach Media lessons, incorporating library classes, research technologies, group work activities and project work.
Qualities and competencies required:
Be a qualified junior or senior primary Educator and have a valid SACE certificate.
Have demonstrated the use of technology in the classroom and school environment with a reasonable amount of experience in the use of IPads, Tablets and Smart Boards.
Have an understanding of the educational importance and significance of technology in the future of education.
Be willing to be fully involved with the activities of the school, including Penreach and the school extra-mural programme.
The commencement date for this post is the 1st January 2017.
