Information Technology Specialist
Salary: $3,039.00 to $3,873.00 (monthly)
Under the general supervision provide help desk support to assist in the repair of systems at multiple sites.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the initial point of contact to troubleshoot and repair technology related hardware and software that arrive via work order, phone call, remote access, and/or in-person visits at multiple sites. For problems that cannot be handled, escalate them to the Information Technology Analysts.
Troubleshoot and resolves network, workstation, and telecommunications, hardware, software, and peripheral equipment problems.
Rebuild computers as needed including replacing hardware, restoring and reconfiguring operation systems, setting up network connections and installing software drivers.
Install, maintain, and support desktop computers and servers including file sharing, security, e-mail, and anti-virus protection.
Image both Windows and Apple computers and laptops.
Initiate set up and configuration of all newly purchased computers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of
Microsoft Windows and Apple OS desktop operating systems as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Installation, configuration and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.
iPad and iPhone user and troubleshooting knowledge
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience
Any combination of experience, training and/or education to demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge and abilities listed is required
Licenses/Certificates
Class C Driver’s License is required
WORKING CONDITIONS WHICH MAY OCCUR
Indoor classroom, lab, office environment, outside and rooftop.
Temperature - normal climate
Daily contact with students, teachers, school and District staff.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Manual dexterity and physical condition necessary to maintain a rigorous work schedule. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer terminal, bending, reaching, speaking to exchange information, sitting and operating a keyboard to enter data into a computer terminal for extended periods of time, providing teaching example for others. Moderate to high stress levels.

High school diploma or equivalent
First Aid and CPR certification
Valid California driver’s license
A+ Certificate desirable
