Innovation Teacher

NSU University School (Jk-12) is seeking an innovation teacher with teaching experience to support our middle school media center. We are looking for an individual who will create an environment that will inspire the love of learning through connections to curriculum, pathways through technology, and modeling innovation.

Requirements of each candidate:

• A self-starter, willing to take initiative and ask questions.
• Collaborative, willing to meet with colleagues and supervisors to help support the curriculum and student learning
• Technologically saavy, can utilize a variety of forms of technology as a way to deliver instruction, provide resources and convey a message of innovation.
• Organized, able to create and maintain systems to manage a library’s inventory as resources for students’ growth in research development skills.
• Able to teach and work collaboratively with teachers in meeting all students’ needs and providing inquiry skills in research development.
• Support development and implementation of STEAM initiatives across the curriculum.
• Positive attitude and works well with others
• Coordinate all aspects of the innovation lab program, including development, implementation and training.
• Develop educational programs to enable students and faculty to safely and effectively utilize the equipment, tools, and machinery
• Knowledge of school media centers
