Director of STEAM Curriculum and Programming

Berkeley Carroll is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of 968 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. The school is excited to create a cross-divisional position to develop and oversee a thoughtful, comprehensive program in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. We seek a dynamic and innovative individual who will:

• Oversee the school's new state-of-the-art STEAM space, scheduled to open in fall 2017;
• Effectively collaborate with faculty and administrators in the Middle and Upper divisions to create and implement rigorous and exciting STEAM curriculum and programming;
• Develop and teach academic or extracurricular courses in robotics and engineering

Successful candidates will possess prior experience in engineering, technology or science education; a successful track record in implementing new programs; outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; the eagerness to work with a diverse range of students, from 5th graders to seniors. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
