The Director of Instructional Design will oversee the design and development of a portfolio of face-to-face (f2f), online and blended curricula for a growing suite of rigorous programs offered across a variety of disciplines and audiences at the School of Professional Studies. The Director of Instructional Design will collaborate closely with Academic Directors and senior leadership at the school in new program development, curricular renovation, faculty development and the design of f2f, hybrid, and online courses. S/he will identify the pedagogical best practices and supporting educational technologies needed to effectively execute curricular mission, and work with faculty to articulate the goals, assessments, activity paths, learning objects and content for each new course. S/he will also oversee the work of assigned Instructional Designers and Course Developers to ensure the production of courses that are both aligned with programmatic outcomes and established design values for online programming. This position will oversee end-to-end development of designated programming areas.

-A minimum of five years of related experience is required. -Bachelors degree is required. -Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design and educational technology best practice in the context of higher ed online and/or blended programming. -Demonstrated experience developing team-based, collaborative and/or project-based courses and curricula -Demonstrated experience developing online and/or blended programming that creatively leverages new-technologies. |
