Salary: $6,299.00 - $8,280.00 / month

Under the direction of the Data Processing Manager III of the State Special Schools Services Office (SSSSO), in the Technology Services Division (TSD), the Senior Information Systems Analyst, Supervisor (Sr. ISA, Supv.), North Unit (Fremont) is responsible for IT operations and supervising IT staff at the Northern State Special School sites, with secondary responsibilities at the SSSSO southern locations. Some travel will be required for this position.

 

  • Supervisory & Administrative – The incumbent provides direction, leadership, and direct supervision to staff members of the SSSSO. The unit is responsible for the maintenance, operation, implementation and support of IT-related products and services at the State Special School sites in Fremont and Fresno. IT-related products and services include, but are not limited to, local and wide area networks, servers, workstations, e-mail, Intranet/Internet Web presence, IT security, electronic file backups, client service desk support, telecommunications, software license tracking, IT procurement and contract monitoring.
  • Project Leadership & Mentoring – The incumbent provides project leadership and mentoring to staff in the SSSSO North Unit. The incumbent provides technical expertise, experience, direction and planning in support of the State Special Schools IT needs. The incumbent works side-by-side with IT staff on the most complex information technology projects and consistently seeks improvements to the IT environment, policies and procedures to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Information Technology Coordination – The incumbent coordinates with TSD management to ensure standardization and consistency of IT operations and infrastructure at the State Special School sites. The group consistently seeks improvements to the IT environment, policies, and procedures to achieve IT operational efficiency and security at the State Special School sites.
