Desktop Support Specialist
Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley is seeking to fill a temporary part time desktop support position. This is the first point of contact for user issues at EB’s middle school campus with occasional duties at the lower school campus (2 blocks away).
Location: Berkeley, CA
Status: Non-exempt, temporary
Benefits: none
Wage: DOE
Hours: 20-30 per week
Duration: Minimum 2 months, possibly through June, possibly temp-to-hire.
Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years providing desktop support in a diverse, demanding environment

Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to find answers to tricky problems

Strong interpersonal skills, customer service-centric attitude, and detail oriented.
Required skills/knowledge:
-
Basic user-level troubleshooting for software, hardware, network, and wi-fi issues.

Mac OS X 10.8 - 10.12

iPad, iOS
-
Google Apps for Education (GAFE) / G Suite (Google Docs, Drive, Gmail)

General familiarity with user applications both on MacOS and cloud-based services.
Desirable skills/knowledge:

IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+; Apple AMCT)

Windows 7-10 , Windows Server 2012-2016 (Jr. Sysadmin level)

Jr. Sysadmin level network support skills

Moodle LMS

Previous experience in independent K-12 school
