Makerspace Teacher
Position summary |

Teach classes as assigned. Makerspace and Robotics will be the major parts of the role. Collaboratively maintain and develop curriculum as needed for grades Kindergarten - Eight Teach using student-centered, experiential, and differentiated methods, in line with school philosophies Work individually with students as needed during the school day
Serve as a faculty advisor to students, and participate fully in the life of the school through involvement in student activities, professional development, collaboration with colleagues, and other duties as assigned. This may include Upper School Robotics club, which involves some evening and weekend commitments.

Major responsibilities |

Respond to and return student work in a timely manner Keep information systems up to date, including class calendars, school software, and class websites Communicate promptly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
Be on campus from 7:45 am until 3:45 pm on days when school is in session Attend all relevant department and faculty meetings and school events Cover classes for absent colleagues as requested
Supervise students as assigned, including outdoor supervision and chaperoning trips |

Preferred education, experience, and skills |
|||
Minimum educational requirement - Bachelor degree 5 years teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of the subjects to be taught Strong knowledge of pedagogy and educational tools, including relevant technology Student-centered, global, and innovative approach to teaching Strong teaching experience with diverse age levels and abilities, willing to work with all grades K-12 Strong written and oral communication skills in English |
