Upper School Academic Technology Coordinator
Job Description:
The Blake School seeks a creative Upper School Academic Technology Coordinator (ATC) to join a talented group of library and technology colleagues in a collaborative and stimulating environment beginning fall 2017. The focus of the ATC is to increase the capacity of teachers to use educational technologies in the teaching and learning process. The ATC supports the professional growth of teachers primarily through one-on-one and small group professional learning, as well as larger scale trainings and presentations. Expertise in constantly discovering, disseminating, and evangelizing new computational tools to help students and faculty stay current across disciplines is a plus. Duties include classroom instruction, active participation in the work of the department on effective teaching and curriculum development, resolving technology issues for faculty and students, and supporting audio and video resources. The ATC reports to the Director of the Upper School and the Director of Information Support Services. This is dynamic, multifaceted work, and interested candidates should be innovative educators, strong collaborators, nimble thinkers, and excellent communicators. The search committee will begin reviewing applications on March 31, 2017. Blake will typically cover the travel and lodging costs for finalist candidates visiting from out of town.
