Job Summary |
The Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) is a collaborative change agent focused on business practices and technologies that support the institutions strategy and core missions of education and research, while improving administrative operations and services. The CIO will oversee the Unviversity of Texas at Arlington IT organization’s strategic and tactical planning, organizational management, financial management and project governance, and will lead day-to-day IT operations. The CIO will provide leadership and vision for the development and use of information systems, resources and technologies that support the school’s academic and administrative needs and will leverage their knowledge of technology and business process to optimize operations of the school’s business. |

Required Qualifications |
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience. Twenty or more years of experience in IT and business/industry. Seven to ten years of executive leadership responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in IT strategic planning, organization design and development. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Preferably ten or more years of experience in directing industry-leading, large, cross-functional teams and/or enterprise wide programs, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts. Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments by taking advantage of digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable the digitalization of the business. |
