SAR Academy in Riverdale, NY, seeks an IT support person to start immediately.  Ideal candidate has at least three years' experience in Information Technology and an affinity for the educational technology space.  High priority placed on being able to communicate effectively with faculty and students.

Basic Position Information:

  • Start date: Immediately

  • Full time/part time: Full time

  • Hours are 8:00 to 4:30pm, Monday thru Thursday, Friday 8:00 to 1:30pm

  • This is a year-round position.

  • 6 personal days and 4 sick days.  Two weeks vacation.

Technology Skills

  • Provide end-user technical support throughout the school.

  • Work and train faculty on uses of hardware and software that enhance the educational experience

  • Assist in the deployment of computers and related equipment, including receipt, asset tags, labels, adding to inventory, and basic configuration.

  • Manage and utilize help desk systems and workflows to document and track customer service.

  • Manage and participate in the deployment, maintenance and reclamation of end-user devices

  • Experience and knowledge with different platforms. (iOS, OSX, Windows 10, Chrome OS)

  • Attend and participate in technology department and community meetings.

  • Provide network support and maintenance in consultation with colleagues.

  • Provide software and hardware support for A/V and telephone systems.

  • Refer major hardware or software problems to outside vendors for assistance and service.

  • Engage in regular professional development that supports school, department and personal goals.

  • Maintain and implement technology documentation and tutorials for the school community

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology

Media

  • Lead technical implementation of recording and live streaming solutions.

  • Training members of the technology team on video recording, editing and live streaming solutions
