Director of Technology

The Green Vale School is a co-educational, independent day school (PN-8) located on a beautiful 40-acre campus on the North Shore of Long Island. Approximately 25 miles from New York City, Green Vale has served families in surrounding suburban communities for nearly 100 years. While responsive to the best in current educational practices, Green Vale continues to believe in the value of a traditional liberal arts education. The School’s mission emphasizes academic excellence and keen attention is paid to the development of the whole child.

The Green Vale School seeks a dynamic and dedicated professional to fill its Director of Technology position. The Director of Technology is primarily responsible for developing the school’s academic and administrative technology strategic plan and vision; working with the current staff to provide ongoing technology professional development and assistance to faculty and staff; and purchasing, installing, maintaining and upgrading school equipment, network infrastructure, and administrative databases.

The full-time, 12-month position requires a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.   Experience working in a mixed platform environment (PCs / Macs / Chromebooks /iPads) highly desired.   Familiarity with Google Apps for Education (G Suite) highly desirable.
