IT Director & Computers Teacher

The position will fill various IT roles, which include overseeing wireless networking, managing technology inventory, and teaching multiple computers class. The Computers Teacher is expected to teach the course outline for each grade level.  The Computer Teacher will teach introductory computer skills to elementary students and more accelerated skills to middle and high school students.  Curriculum is adopted through the combination of teacher and administrator input. Teachers are responsible for report cards, recognizing student learning and development issues, classroom management, student discipline, and parent communication.  The teacher will be responsible to maintain a fair, loving, and respectful classroom discipline plan that preserves a classroom environment conducive to learning.

• Aspiration to teach children in a Christian environment
• Demonstration of computer and network competency

• Meet or exceed the Liberty Christian Academy full-time Christian teacher job description
• Be capable of instructing all grade levels on computer applications and computer science concepts

• Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• Holder of an ACSI teacher certification or be eligible to apply for the certification

• Ability to communicate effectively with parents

• Must maintain a fair, loving, and respectful classroom discipline plan

• Possess a willing spirit to collaborate with other staff members for school, curriculum, student, and staff growth and development

• Must be able to provide spiritual and professional references.
