Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer will: design, develop, and deliver effective online and blended courses, ensuring adherence to targeted outcomes and best practices in design and student learning; deliver training and provide support to faculty, staff and students on features of the learning management system and other educational technologies; and evaluate technology and teaching methods to assess their utility for the school’s learning initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional/Curriculum Design, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology or related field; master’s preferred; minimum 1-3 years’ experience in higher education, online teaching, technology training, or building and managing online courses; experience working closely with faculty to design in multiple formats including face-to-face, hybrid and online; demonstrated expertise with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas etc.), instructional design, and academic/educational technology; must have excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and interpersonal skills; and demonstrated creativity skill and experience in designing instruction that engages students in active learning experience. Strongly prefer experience in higher education.
