Technology Integration Specialist
Walnut Hill School for the Arts seeks a Technology Integration Specialist. This position reports to the Director of Technology. The purpose of this position is to maintain the desktops, servers, and network equipment on campus and to support the faculty, staff, and students that use them. This role will interact and support multiple critical functions to the school across various departments including Admission, Business Office, Development, and Marketing. As such, integration and technology innovation in the classroom and across departments will be a primary function for this position. This a Full Time, non-exempt, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Technology.
Responsibilities include:
- Tech Support: Providing technical support for approximately 100 faculty and staff. Operating systems include OS X, iOS, Windows 7, 8, and 10. Assisting students with issues connecting to our wireless network and providing limited support for other student computing needs. Managing a help desk ticket queue and responding to requests in person and over the phone, assisting with Audio-Visual set-ups as necessary, coordinating repairs with outside vendors and creating and managing user accounts.
- Network Security: Managing and maintaining the integrity and security of network equipment including servers, desktops, printers, and copiers
- Database Management: Ensuring the integrity, reliability, and security of school-wide database systems including Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, Finalsite, Magnus Health, and Proof Academics.
- Educational Technology: Assisting faculty with the creation of course pages using our LMS (Finalsite)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues as well as Windows Server Administration.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
- Experience imaging and deploying PCs and Macs
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and spend much time on their feet
- Experience with G Suite for Education, ShoreTel phones, Cisco switches, and VMware ESXi a plus
- Preference will be given to a candidate with the interest and ability to teach a semester elective in computer science.
