WFS Technology Teacher/Technology Coordinator
Job Description

The position of Technology Teacher at WFS includes the following roles: Technology Teacher (K-8), Instructional Technologist, Network Administration. Job duties are as follows:

Technology Teacher
Plan and evaluate technology curriculum
Teach K-8 technology (basic computer skills, coding, html, word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, eResearch, mobile technology, computer science, and digital citizenship)
Integrate technology skills into special projects and activities

Instructional Technologist
Provide technology-related professional development for all staff and teachers
Plan and budget for technology upgrades and integration into the classroom
Train teachers to use technology in their classrooms

Network Support
Assist with management of WFS servers (add users, reset passwords, etc.)
Troubleshoot server, network, and desktop issues
Update all technology-related devices (software patches, anti-virus)
Collaborate with the Head of School, Director of Technology and the Director of Finance and Operations to make financial decisions in regards to technology
Provide new employees with technology orientation, which covers daily technology use and school-wide computer and Internet policies

Candidates with teaching experience strongly preferred; a degree in education is required. Knowledge of or the ability to learn and manage Renweb (our student information system) strongly preferred.
