Saint Joseph Prep, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, seeks a knowledgeable and dedicated professional to oversee the operational side of its Advancement Office.  The Gift Processor and Database Managerreports to the Advancement Director and is responsible for managing all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge platform and for coordinating the receipt of all gifts.  Maintaining and integrating accurate data, particularly related to the entering of gifts, in the Raiser’s Edge database is absolutely essential.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

·       At least two years of experience with a fundraising database, preferably Raiser’s Edge, with basic understanding of query writing and export processes.

·       A Bachelor’s degree; similar administrative skill and knowledge of database maintenance and gift entry; at least two years of related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Essential Job Functions

·       Creates, edits, and maintains records in Raiser’s Edge, primarily constituent biographical and contact information, with extreme accuracy; occasionally contacts donors via phone or email to update records; seeks to maintain current information on constituents through research tools and social media; ensures and is responsible for the overall integrity of the database.

·       Manages gift entry process in Raiser’s Edge including checks, cash, stock, matching gifts, payroll deduction and pledges; generates, maintains and distributes daily transaction logs and reports and prepares deposits for Business Office; manages matching gift process with donors and corporate giving offices, and notifies donor when matching gift is received.

·       Devises and implements a gift receipt process; manages the gift acknowledgment process to include letter preparation, mailing and database maintenance.

·       Assists in Advancement and school-wide mailings and special events.

·       Reconciles monthly bank and credit card statements; manages accounts payable/reimbursement function; oversees advancement office inventory.

·       Engages in on-going training and education as relates to the database.
