IT Technician
Summary: Support the organization by maintaining technology objectives.
Essential Functions:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- In a team environment, assist in installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing computer equipment, tablets, common peripherals, network printers, IP phones, servers and LAN/WAN switches and routers.
- Help ensure a secure computing experience by performing system updates, maintaining privacy, and instructing end users on the proper use and protection of our systems.
- Using a ticketing system to prioritize tasks and update completion information to manager and end users.
- Have a passion for learning and extending one skills and knowledge by researching complex technical problems to find effective and efficient solutions.
- Supporting users and systems in a Mac based environment.
- Great interpersonal skills and effective communications skills (both oral and written) when working with end users, vendors, and other IT team members.
- Must be able to pass background & drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications: COMBINATION of the following would be beneficial but NOT required.
- Mac OS client and server experience in a managed environment (JAMF preferable)
- Apple IOS experience in a Mobile Device Managed environment (JAMF preferable)
- G Suite/Google Apps experience in a mid to large organization.
- Experience with installation and support of LAN (including Ethernet and WiFi) and WAN technologies
- Experience with Windows Server, including Active Directory and server virtualization in a VMWare VSphere environment.
- Proven experience in a desktop support technician role.
- Experience in a K-12 educational environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, ACMT certification, CCNA, etc.)
- Post Secondary Degree in technology related field or relevant professional experience.
