Salary: $48,000 / year

Assist College of Engineering in the analysis of student learning needs and systematic development of learning materials. This position will combine instructional design and technical knowledge to create and use products that educate and inform, while supporting the mission of the College of Engineering. Working in collaboration with other individuals and departments to visualize and implement ideas. Adapts to meet emerging needs related to instructional design in Engineering Education. Position will work on a variety of simultaneous projects using the latest computer software. Coordinates and executes instructional efforts between Omaha and Lincoln campuses.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, educational technology, instructional design or related field plus 3 years of experience in educational methodologies, technology in the classroom, website management, distance education, classroom training, online environment experience or instructional design required. Must have the ability to work successfully with faculty to develop dynamic multimedia tools to promote teaching, work as a liaison between faculty and programming team, and serve as a first point of contact on the Innovative Teaching Initiative. Proficiency with standard industry technology software, hardware/equipment in the development of innovative teaching tools necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in instructional technology, educational technology, instructional design or related field preferred. Advanced HTML and CSS desirable. Experience or education in STEM discipline helpful.
