Job Description:
Immaculata University is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Academic Technology Services. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director provides leadership and oversight for the planning, development, and management of online and Web-enhanced courses and guides the appropriate integration of a wide variety of technologies into all University academic programs consistent with the academic strategy and priorities of the University. The Director will oversee and administer the University's Learning Management System (LMS), academic systems, and instructional technologies.
Primary duties include leadership, collaboration, outreach, development, consultation, research, reporting, project management and other activities to support and enhance the University's academic programs and mission. The Director collaborates extensively with academic and administrative leadership in support of scholarship, learning, teaching, and student engagement. Additionally, the Director guides the strategy and focus of infrastructure and support processes to ensure technical and functional services meet the needs of a growing and changing academic landscape.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative and collaborative professional that will provide leadership, management, and vision, with a proven record of accomplishment, including revenue generation, online learning, classroom technology, web technologies, SiS, LMS, CMS, cloud and Open Source technologies. The Director will challenge where we are and take Immaculata to the next level.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Instructional Technology, or related field.
Six+ years of supervisory and management experience
Demonstrated experience in higher education
Demonstrated familiarity with business processes and functions across a university environment
Demonstrated knowledge, leadership and management of technology
Demonstrated expertise in e-learning, instructional design and distance education
Demonstrated expertise in pedagogy and teaching methods
Teaching experience with face to face, online and web-enhanced / hybrid courses

Demonstrated project management expertise
Demonstrated experience in managing an LMS environment
Demonstrated experience in delivering academic content using Web 2.0 tools
