Assistant Professor in Educational Technology

The position will be in the Education Specialties Department’s Educational Technology Program. Position duties include teaching three (3) courses per semester in the Educational Technology Program in blended and/or online formats; conducting and publishing research; advising graduate students; participating in committee work in the department, school, and university; developing university/community initiatives and partnerships; and fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Applicants will have an earned doctorate in educational technology or related field, a strong record of teaching, experience teaching online and blended courses, instructional design experience, experience in K-12 educational technology initiatives, and a demonstrated commitment to serving culturally and linguistically diverse student needs. Also required is experience in one or more of the following areas: online education, multimedia design in the classroom, student-centered learning, digital communication, universal design for learning, integration of technology into the K-12 curriculum.

Preferred qualifications include 3-5 years of K-12 teaching experience; higher education teaching experience; familiarity with Quality Matters standards; experience with program accreditation (such as NCATE or CAEP); experience with culturally and linguistically diverse populations; and experience working in urban settings.
