Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, instructional technology, or other academic discipline combined with at least one year’s experience in instructional technology and course design. Strong customer service and collaboration skills required.

Demonstrated experience working on instructional design projects.

Strong working knowledge of software and other tools for creating interactive modules and other teaching and learning best practices and methods.

Excellent written and oral communication, customer service, and attention to detail required.
Requires successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Requirements:

Master’s degree preferred. Three or more years experience teaching in higher education supporting learning technology and multimedia projects. Experience in coordinating and presenting professional development workshops in a higher education setting. Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical users.

Experience with Quality Matters (QM) best practices, a learning management system, and the ability to work across both Windows and Mac platforms desired.

Knowledge of ADA regulation requirements and approaches to ensure compliance in an LMS environment are strongly desired.

Summary of Duties:

Strategically engages the college’s full- and part-time faculty in the universal design of course materials and delivery of instruction. Works with faculty to ensure course materials are aligned to ensure accessibility by students. Provides assistance for faculty integrating instructional technology tools in all instructional delivery methods.

Collaborates and communicates with faculty on the selection of appropriate instructional technologies, delivery strategies, and pedagogy. Utilizes industry standard learning management system and learning technologies to construct courses. Produces, independently or in collaboration with faculty and staff, creative content and resources for use in teaching and learning. Provides support and consultation to faculty in the alignment of course and program outcomes.
