Director of the Innovation Lab
Overview: The Director of the Innovation Lab is a leader in Design Thinking and STEAM education who is ready to join the school during an exciting time, as the school is designing and building an innovation lab to open next fall. The new space will be designed for STEAM-oriented learning through making, tinkering, engineering, design, and integration of art. This vision for this space will be shaped by the Director, and will be accessible to students during the school day, as well as for after-school learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing the school's Innovation Lab as a programmatic hub for project-based learning in STEAM fields, as well as designing a comprehensive program that inspires students as they grow to be creative thinkers and learners. The Director will develop and teach a sequence of design/engineering/art or related courses, support faculty member’s efforts to integrate design thinking and project based learning principles into their curricula, and consult with colleagues in all disciplines to create interdisciplinary STEAM curriculum threads across the lower and middle schools.
