STEAM Integration Specialist

Description
Funded through a three-year grant from the Goizueta Foundation, the Trinity School STEAM Integration Specialist is responsible for supporting effective integrated learning experiences for both elementary students and teachers. The STEAM specialist will work directly with students and their teachers to deepen understanding and implementation of STEAM while coaching teachers to develop more effective integrated instruction and assessment practices.
Educational Requirements
- Certification or equivalent experience in one or more STEAM content areas.
- Solid knowledge of young children's learning and development as well as experience teaching young children.
- Expertise in facilitating professional learning experiences for adult learners.
- Knowledge and experience with technology to support active, connected learning experiences and reflection.
Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Plan, model, co-teach with, and coach classroom teachers, using research-based and differentiated instructional strategies.
- Deepen understanding and application of integrated STEAM concepts through the facilitation of experiential learning.
- Serve as a resource for professional materials, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Work with the Academic Leadership Team, specifically the Director of Curriculum, for short-range and long-range planning including documenting and archiving successful learning experiences.
- Collaborate with faculty to provide school-wide professional development and parent education.
