Summary
Works collaboratively with members of the department, faculty and academic and campus leadership on the appropriate and effective integration of instructional technology into teaching and learning
Essential Job Functions
- Supports and advises faculty in the effective and appropriate use of technology for teaching and learning, for both face-to-face and hybrid courses
- Develops and conducts trainings and workshops for faculty on the use, application and best practices of instructional technologies
- Develops documentation and training materials in various formats to support instructional technologies
- Consults with faculty and other department staff on the identification and implementation of appropriate technology and instructional strategies to meet student learning outcomes
- Supports faculty use of media including multimedia equipment and video editing software
- Stays abreast of new technologies and strategies related to the implementation of instructional technologies and provides analysis and recommendations for improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Moderate amount of experience working with learning management systems, technology workshop development, integrating technology into teaching in an educational setting or other related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or greater from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in instructional technology, instructional design, education or a related field of study
- Teaching experience, preferably in secondary or at the collegiate level
- Experience in training and designing a variety of academic workshops
