Job Description

McCann School of Business & Technology is looking for a Registrar with strong ethics and high attention to detail to join their campus educational team.

The Registrar serves as the campus administrator responsible for student records.  Duties include planning, organizing and managing all of the activities related to the recording and registration of academic records.  The Registrar serves as the authorized keeper of the school’s student records in accordance with accreditor standards (institutional and programmatic), state and federal regulations, and company policies, procedures, and best practices.  The main system used is CampusVue.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Scheduling students into appropriate educational courses. 

  • Process Student status changes related to each student’s education/enrollment

  • Analyzing satisfactory academic progress for all students

  • Analyze transcripts to determine possible entry points and schedules for re-entry students

  • Provide for the maintenance and safe keeping of student academic files within FERPA guidelines and company policies.

  • Collect, organize and enter student attendance for all programs

  • Generate appropriate reports for subsequent review with appropriate educational leadership

  • Post student grades, audit and evaluate student transcripts to ensure students have meet requirements for educational progression

  • Collaborate with administrators to facilitate and improve services to students

  • Collect and maintain homework projects, ensure all homework is stored according to the Homework Storage Guidelines

  • Other duties as assigned

 


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

  • Experience with data entry, file management, and similar administrative duties

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proven ability to multitask

  • 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft office suite

  • Ability to manage detailed procedural processes and ensure compliance with procedures among faculty/staff

 

PREFERRED:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in a related field from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

  • Knowledge of CampusVue software

  • At least 3 years related work experience in related field

  • Experience working in an academic department in a proprietary school setting

  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry
