Organizational Unit Overview |
The primary purpose of the College of Education is the preparation of professional educators and allied practitioners, including professionals in business information systems, counseling, electronic media, and librarianship. Significant to the mission of the unit is a strong commitment to three important related areas all of which are realized through partnerships and other endeavors of the university’s mission. These three areas are the encouragement and nurturing of professional growth for educators and allied practitioners at all levels and in all areas of education; the continuing emphasis on and support for scholarship, research, creative activity, teaching, staff participation, and the improvement of schools; and the development, creation and cooperation distribution of educational policy for North Carolina. |

Job Duties |
The Technology Support Analyst will assist with the maintenance of computer workstations, instructional technology equipment, handheld devices and other assistive technologies within the College of Education. The individual will also assist with imaging, placement, and tracking of new workstations and other assistive technology devices. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Experience with or willingness to learn the following programs and applications is desired: Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Deploy Studio, USV Mac Scripting, Windows Scripting, and enterprise level troubleshooting. |
