IT Systems Specialist
The IT department is responsible for the planning, maintenance, support, security, and access to devices and tools for learning in our pre-k to grade 8 learning environment. The IT Systems Specialist’s (ITSS) primary function is to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network and internet systems as well as client end-user devices. The ITSS ensures network systems operate correctly with minimal interruption by using a systematic approach for identifying, managing, and assessing security risks and system updates.
The ideal candidate must have technical experience supporting a variety of internet applications, security protocols and compliance, networks and operating systems, as well as hardware, software, printers, and storage. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, have good customer relations and interpersonal skills, and be able to work with varying levels of user skills. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The position requires collaboration with the director of technology on IT projects to ensure the school’s technical infrastructure is sound and in compliance with industry standards and the school’s academic and administrative initiatives.
