Director of Information Services

Job Description:

Herkimer College seeks qualified candidates for the Director of Information Services.  The successful candidate will be responsible for setting objectives and and strategies for the IT department, selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline internal operations, managing the college's technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) for optimal performance while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.

Requirements:

Master's Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree with 7 year's related experience, plus:

• Five year's of progressively-responsible management experience to include supervisory responsibilities
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
• Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
• Strong staff management skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management, analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
