Job Summary

Provides a wide range of expert consulting to faculty, staff and students of the IU supported communities. Resolves problems which encompass all major service areas within UITS and university-wide systems. As necessary, refers problems to the appropriate resource. Provides technical support to specialized applications for client support to faculty, students and staff, university departments and clients from other inter-departmental groups. Documents and tracks contacts received, and follows-up with clients until a satisfactory resolution is reached. Updates internal and external Knowledge Base documentation. Directly supervises hourly staff in their daily activities and services of the Support Center. Provides expertise and leadership in the technical development of hourly help desk staff in the Support Center.

Required Qualifications REQUIRED: Associate’s Degree in computer science, computer systems technology, or a closely related field plus one year of computing support experience.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Macintosh and Windows operating systems; Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Indiana University central systems: E-mail, Canvas, One.IU, IU List, networking, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years experience.
