Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) is currently seeking a part-time, online learning program manager. FSHA’s partnership with One Schoolhouse has allowed FSHA to expand course offerings. The Online Learning Program has grown extensively from 5 students in the 2014-2015 school year to 27 students in the 2017-2018 school year.
 
The online learning program manager will be responsible for supporting students in transition to online learning environments through regular meetings and sharing of best practices, managing the application process for online classes including annual updates to the application and application process, advisor communication, providing advice to students, sending and receiving family contracts, and disseminating funds for courses.
 
Additional Expectations:  
  • Manages Online Learning budget
  • Acts as a liaison between FSHA parents and advisors and One Schoolhouse faculty and staff for all communication
  • Communicates regularly with Director of School & Student Support and Assistant Head of School at One Schoolhouse regarding FSHA student progress in online classes
  • Supervises One Schoolhouse enrollment paperwork and payment of invoices
  • Hosts or supervises one to two One Schoolhouse course information sessions during the course registration period
  • Provides an orientation to online learning to all online students at the start of each school year
  • Maintains One Schoolhouse course pages on TologNet with pertinent online information for students including important reminders, dates, and textbooks
  • Regularly reviews online student progress reports and takes action as necessary to ensure student success including contacting advisor and parents when needed
  • Meets with online learning students every few weeks to assess progress
  • Manages test proctoring for online courses including proctoring in the library, locating proctors, and communicating important test information if necessary
  • Provides assistance with online course AP testing as needed
  • Works with Academic Dean on any non-One Schoolhouse online course enrollments
  • Works with heads of academic departments to have online courses integrated into their respective departments
  • Researches online learning alternatives as needed
  • Attends conferences or workshops about online learning to keep up with best practices and opportunities
 
This position requires
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ work experience
  • High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Experience with working or learning in an online learning environment
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools used in an online environment
  • Ability to collaborate with department colleagues
  • Experience with and openness to using instructional technology
