If you’re an enthusiastic, experienced IT/computing professional with expertise in computer architecture/hardware and software and preferably with some teaching experience, we want to hear from you!
We are in search of technically skilled Computer and Network Administration associate’s degree program instructors to join the academic team at our Dallas Campus on a part-time basis. These individuals will report to the Program Chair and Campus Dean.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Educates and trains students in his or her field of expertise using accepted and approved instructional methodology.
- Prepares lesson plans using industry-standard approaches (e.g., multimedia, adult learning methodology).
- Teaches courses as assigned, instructs and evaluates students, develops students’ skills and encourages growth, and tracks their attendance, performance, and grades.
- Participates in various administrative activities (e.g., attends faculty/staff meetings or in-service meetings).
- Participates in graduation ceremonies, as assigned.
- Participates regularly in continuing professional development activities.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education/Experience Needed:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience and credentials will be assessed accordingly.
- At least five (5) years of practical work experience in a networking environment installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting LANs, WANs, Internet systems, and wireless configurations using a diversity of network operating systems.
- Familiarity with fundamental security best practices and Microsoft Active Directory principles a plus.
- Professional certifications as relevant to the field. Microsoft certifications preferred.
- Previous teaching experience highly desired.
