Technology Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. California teaching credential authorizing service in area of assignment

2. Ability to work in lab environment

3. Knowledge of computer technology and programming

4. Evidence showing definite potential for success

REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: To meet District goals established in relationship to technology needs of all students under his/her direction.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Teaches computer technology.

2. Recommends and implements learning strategies utilizing academic technology

3. Assists teachers and administrators with assessing, planning, implementing and

   evaluating the use of academic technologies, including online and blended instruction.

4. Plans, organizes, coordinates and conducts staff development trainings and presentations

   to teachers and administrators.

5. Identifies, researches, develops and analyzes staff development programs within broad

   guidelines incorporating curriculum content, methodology and technologies.

6. Designs tailor-made training materials to meet long and short-term staff development

   needs.

7. Helps children develop motivation for learning technology.

8. Disseminates current computer practices.

9. Assists teachers in use of computer materials and resources.

10. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.
