Crossroads School is an urban, coed, college-preparatory, K-12 school in Santa Monica known for its commitment to progressive education and to the arts and sciences. The school has 1180 students in three divisions on two campuses.
Crossroads seeks an organized and dedicated K-12, Computer/Field Technician. This is a great opportunity to work with teachers and students in an exciting and dynamic environment. The Computer/Field Technician will assist with the deployment, service and maintenance of computers and printers on both campuses. Knowledge of Apple products is a must.
Essential Job Skills
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 customer support
- Strong knowledge of OSX, IOS & Windows 10
- Computer troubleshooting
- Some network connection troubleshooting
- Software troubleshooting (Office 365)
- Printer troubleshooting
- Audio Visual equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to work as part of a team
Desired Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- At least 2 years working in tech support
- Experience working in a school
- Mac certifications or Apple repair experience
- Knowledge of mobile device management is a plus (JAMF)

- Patience - must be able to work effectively with users of varying technological abilities
- Self-starting - must be able and willing to respond to requests in a timely manner without much supervision
- Effective time management - must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Personable with good speaking skills - must be able to provide effective support over the phone and in person
- Flexible - must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings
- Curiosity - must be willing to learn and test new technologies
Physical Demands
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Walking three blocks between campuses perhaps multiple times a day
- Climbing stairs multiple times a day
