Director of Educational Technology
North Shore Country Day School, a JK-12 independent school near Chicago, seeks a Director of Educational Technology in advance of the 2018-2019 Academic Year.
While a bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree is preferred. North Shore is eager to consider applications from groups traditionally underrepresented in independent school communities.
We seek candidates with a demonstrable skill set for and significant experience with leading the development and management of an educational technology program, preferably in a JK-12 educational setting. In their application materials and conversations with our team, ideal candidates will demonstrate a clear vision for the role for technology in advancing teaching and learning, past experience in building substantial working relationships with both colleagues and students, and success in developing the technology related skills of both colleagues and students.
Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter specific to the role at North Shore Country Day School, a resume, a written statement of educational philosophy, and a listing of professional references (it is helpful to know the context in which the reference worked with the candidate and have both email and phone contact information for each reference).
North Shore offers competitive salaries that are commensurate with experience. Additionally, North Shore provides an excellent employee benefits program, including health and retirement benefits, tuition support for children’s attendance at North Shore, and professional development funding to support summer study, attendance at conferences/workshops, travel, and advanced degree work.
