Summary: The Alexander Dawson School is looking for a motivated individual who is willing to provide excellent technical support to staff and students. Must be ready to learn a variety of systems while living in an Mac based environment. Our potential hire must be a life-long learner and problem solver that is willing to learn and work with a great tech team.
Essential Functions:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support to end users.
- Ability to research complex technical problems to find solutions.
- Work with vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Diagnose network hardware and cabling connection problems.
- Ability to work with network printing and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory & G Suite.
- Working knowledge of office productivity software and diagnostic software, including but not limited to the current Microsoft Office suite and G suite.
- Ability to troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, and wireless networks and protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
These preferred qualifications are not required, but are desirable.
- Working knowledge of current Macintosh client and server operating systems (Sierra, High Sierra preferable), also working knowledge of Windows client and server operating systems (Windows 7/2013) and related configurations.
- Working knowledge of image clients, deploying software packages and updates and using management software such as JAMF Casper Suite.
- iOS/BYOD mobile device management/configuration experience.
- Experience working with multiple network manufacturers and vendors.
- Experience with Windows Server 2008, and VMWare software.
- LAN and Wireless setup, configuration and maintenance experience.
