  • Remain engaged in ongoing learning of current technologies, pedagogies and curriculum trends and collaboratively work to implement those initiatives that further enhance the strategic goals of the school.
  • Work one-on-one with faculty as they develop their lessons.
  • Help to sustain the robust 1:1 iPad program at the school by assisting faculty in developing lessons that integrate applications and web-based resources.
  • Maintain Canvas, the school’s Learning Management System and facilitate professional growth focused on using the LMS.
  • Design, deliver and oversee professional development and growth experiences for faculty in areas of technology integration, curriculum enhancement, and instructional design.
  • Make recommendations for technology and pedagogy that supports curricular and administrative goals of the school.
  • Assist teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning and best practices when using data to support instruction.
  • Support the building and growth of a blended and online curriculum.
  • Attend monthly Academic Council meetings.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is a minimum requirement, although a graduate degree in instructional technology is preferred.
  • Experience managing instructional technology, learning management systems, and knowledge of iPads and iOS is preferred
  • Strong background in a variety of effective instructional strategies such as Design Thinking, Problem Based Learning, and Collaborative Learning, etc.
  • A successful background of teaching in the high school classroom.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
