Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and guidance in the development, implementation and coordination of Holy Child’s technology curriculum (including information literacy and digital citizenship) and technology infrastructure; enhance integration of technology throughout the curriculum; promote the effective use of instructional technology throughout the schools; and provide faculty with professional development.
- Provide strategic vision for the future of technology integration and innovative learning that aligns with the Holy Child mission.
- Identify, plan, coordinate, and facilitate meetings, project implementation teams and interdepartmental planning groups in order to ensure meaningful and effective use of technology in support of HC’s strategic and operational goals.
- Identify needs and plans instructional technology-related professional development.
- Manage and collaborate with tech department personnel and school leadership in developing informational and instructional supports to meet the needs of users (faculty, staff, and students) and move technology integration forward.
- Manage and collaborate with IT personnel/contractors to identify and plan for protocols that increase efficiency in the IT infrastructure and support of users.
- Oversee and manage the school’s SIS (Veracross) by implementing and supporting the schools procedures and protocols performed by the system.
- Participate in the planning and the role faculty and staff will play in the implementation of technology professional development and curriculum alignment.
- Reports to and collaborates with the Associate Head of School for the responsibilities described here.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Abilities to evaluate and interpret end-user needs and to develop/recommend appropriate solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal as well as technical and non-technical communication skills)
- Ability to work successfully under direction, independently and in conjunction with other team members and faculty members that have varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple activities and projects
- Ability to read and understand technical materials.
