The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing all aspects of the school’s communications and marketing activities.

This position will report to the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications (DMAC) and work closely and collaboratively with the school’s Community Development, Advancement and Admissions staff. 

Under the guidance of the DMAC, the Manager will develop and implement the overall marketing and communications strategy for the school providing vision, leadership, and administrative oversight for marketing, the school’s website, social media, as well as events and publications. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for engaging the school’s leaders, faculty, staff, students, and parents in marketing initiatives, as well as implementing the school’s marketing and promotion plan in order to establish Mulgrave’s brand and presence in the local and international market.

The Manager also cultivates and enhances meaningful relations with internal and external audiences. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related subject 
  • Minimum of three to five years professional experience in print and digital communications with a track record of increasing responsibility and success
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills
  • Experience executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Ability to create content as well as identify and generate creative story ideas
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate widely with various constituencies throughout the school community and to be flexible in working hours
  • General understanding of independent education, philanthropy and school communications
  • Ability to develop and direct an integrated social media strategy
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, Google applications, presentation software and content management systems 
  • Endorse the school’s mission and vision statement

This position is operational 12 months of the year and will require flexibility with some evening and weekend work. 

Given the location of the school applicants must provide their own transportation.
