Director, Technology & Analytics
Director, Technology & Analytics, has primary responsibility for 1) assessment of Campus Life programs and services, 2) analytics reporting, 3) software technology strategy and management, and 4) policy management.
This position:
-
Helps Campus Life units develop quantitative and qualitative assessment tools to collect and analyze data for existing initiatives, as well as future innovations focused on student learning and service delivery.

Serves Campus Life as data custodian, data manager, and supervises the production of analytics reports.

Works closely with the Office of Information Technology on budgeting, implementation, system enhancements and technical concerns.

Provides leadership implementing innovative applications and technologies in partnership with the Office of Information Technology that streamline and improve services in support of OCL’s mission and strategic goals.
Work Environment

Directly supervises one full-time staff member (Manager of Web and Student Systems)

Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree
-
Five years professional experience
-
Interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to work with sensitive and confidential matters

Fast learner and a fast starter in a continuously evolving technological environment

Understanding of inclusion principles as they related to access and user experience
-
Knowledge of ADA requirements for web and software technology
-
Familiarity with software systems, content management systems, and assessment platforms

Demonstrated highly developed analytical skill. Expertise and experience in at least one report writing tool (SAS, BI, etc.) as well as advance Excel and Access expertise and experience
Preferred Education and Experience
-
Degree's in assessment, analytics, information systems or information technology
-
Experience in higher education
-
Demonstrated success and experience in continuous process improvement initiatives and professional knowledge of best practices in the field

Familiarity with student/case management software systems
