Monday-Friday-8am – 5pm with occasional evening, weekend, and holidays per business needs.

Job Summary

UK HealthCare (UKHC) Information Technology (IT) is seeking an experienced, certified, IT professional for a Project Manager position within the Project & Portfolio Management Office (PMO). This senior level role will be accountable for efficient, effective delivery of professional project management services required to support the UK Healthcare Enterprise. The role requires frequent interaction, collaboration, planning, and cooperation with senior level UKHC leadership and stakeholders required to develop and deliver projects that meet Enterprise Business Objectives. This position will operate in a matrixed organization that requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, and the ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments. The following information represents typical skills and function required to successfully function in the Project Manager role: • Develop, monitor, and control projects using detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) that can be used to develop, Project Schedules/Milestones, Resource Plans, Project Performance Metrics, Risk Plans, and Project Budgets. • Mentor and/or lead stakeholders and associates in the mastery of project management principles and tools. • Ensure adherence to established UKHC IT PMO project methodologies. • Align projects with business strategy. • Develop, monitor, and manage Program/Project budgets. • Develop, monitor, and manage Resource Plans. • Develop, edit, and publish documentation relative to Project Delivery and Support of the end solution. • Develop project briefings, updates, status reports, etc. in a format suitable for briefing senior level UKHC leadership. • Maintains positive customer satisfaction • Participates in Continuous Service Improvement initiatives UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare continues expanding through the construction of new properties and potential future acquisitions.

Preferred Education/Experience

PMP Certification and experience in Healthcare IT preferred; 7+ years of project management experience highly preferred.
