Technology Support Specialist
Job Summary
Manage content and structure of the college public website, internal intranet and the digital signage system. Provide end-user training, documentation and reporting in managing website content. Assist the Software Developer in their duties.
Essential Functions
60% - Manage the content and structure of the college public and internal websites.
15% - Produce and manage the content of the college Digital Signage system.
10% - Train content editors in the use of the website CMS systems.
10% - Perform other duties as assigned.
5% - Report website usage
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience with desktop user support or technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications, or technology security, appropriate to assignment.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in a SharePoint CMS environment. 1+ years experience preferred.
Experience working in a Drupal CMS environment.
Experience working with website analytics tools. Preferably Google Analytics and knowledge of Tag Manager.
Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Bootstrap (or equivalent) and CSS. 1+ years experience preferred.
Special Working Conditions
May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs.
May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor
