The Vice President for Information Services and Student Success is charged with working with the President, the Vice Presidents, and the other members of the President's Executive Council to advance the academic and programmatic goals of the University.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report to the President

  • Support the values and institutional goals as defined in the University's Strategic Plan.

  • Participate in team-based decision making and support the decisions of the leadership and the President.

  • Build strong working relationships with all constituents within the institution.

  • Provide oversight and direction for the offices of Institutional Research, Information Technology, Library Services, International Student Services, Recruiting, Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Success.

  • Foster a work environment that encourages a culture of high performance focused on improving operations and providing quality customer service.

  • Develop forward-looking strategies for recruiting and supporting students of academic quality, talent, and diversity.

  • Prepare and implement budgets for assigned areas while ensuring that human and financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with established policies, regulations, and audit requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD. required

  • At least ten years of administrative and budgetary experience in higher education with a record of increasing levels of managerial responsibility.

  • Experience simultaneously managing diverse areas within the stated duties of this position's responsibility.

  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with all divisions in a university.

  • Experience in budgeting, planning, and operations across multiple academic and non-academic areas of a university.

  • A proven ability to analyze underlying recruiting/ admission data and develop longitudinal models in order to guide scholarship awarding and other aspects of enrollment planning.

  • Experience creating multi-media environments to support student learning.

  • Possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of the academic process.
